Owing to nearby sunny slopes that provide the perfect conditions for growing grapes, Bol has a long winemaking tradition. Bol wine (and surrounding areas) were highly appreciated and consumed regularly at the Vienna court. Later in 1903, the first Dalmatian wine association has built a wine cellar in the center of Bol, which today, after 110 years, still make wine. Recently renovated, the wine cellar has a new brand of wine – Stina-made from indigenous grape varieties: Pošip, Vugava (both white) and Plavac Mali (red).
Quality wine can be ordered from almost all members of our association.
